My Rambles

Dear God,

I am Netra and I study in V-A or Sun Shine Public School. I love my school but I hate homework. I love to paint and play outdoors all the time but my mother makes me sit inside to complete my homework.

For the last 3 months, I have been at home because of some virus. In school I have been taught that in food chain bigger animals predate on smaller animals then how is this invisible virus predating on humans? I have been sitting at home because of this and my parents don’t even let me play with friends. My granny says you can do anything so can you please end this so that I can again play with my friends.

Since I have free time I thought I will clarify my doubts through a letter directly from you as adults don’t always answer clearly.

My teacher told me that there are many religions and each religion has its own god. Some religions even have multiple gods. I have been told that I am Hindu and I have an option to choose from many available gods. I like Lord Hanuman as he has a superpower to fly. I wish I also could fly. I would have flown away whenever my mother asked me to clean my room and I would have also flown way whenever my teacher would have asked for my homework.

My granny says God created the world, if yes then which one as there are so many gods. When I ask my granny she says that all gods are the same. Well if all gods are the same then why do I hear about people fighting with each other over religion in news? Do you also fight with the gods of other religions?

I see my grand-mother praying to gods for wishes and aspirations. So if you want something, do you also have your gods?

My parents are doctors and periodically they meet other doctors at parties, so do you also party with other gods?

When I meet my friends, I talk about my favorite games, superheroes so your get-togethers with other gods what do you talk about?

I understand there is a pecking order basis caste, race amongst us, what is your pecking order?

Also these days a lot of movies have sequels, so do you also have Earth 2.0 in the pipeline? If so please give me a different English teacher and a different brother in that.

My mother is calling me for homework, even though I am at home 24 by 7. I will wait to hear from you about all my questions. Please do reply at the earliest.
